The Go team is excited to announce the release of Go 2.4, ThoughtWorks Studios' Agile Release Management platform. Download now.

Some of the key features of this release include:

Performance Enhancements

Tune Go for Better Performance: Go has been tested with a large number of pipelines, agents and load. Performance will vary based on your server configuration and usage patterns. Use this guide to optimize performance.
Faster Dashboard: The Pipelines Dashboard renders much faster even with a large number of pipelines.
Faster Artifact Transfers: We reduced artifact upload and download times.
Other: We improved how Go manages memory.

New Features

Filter on Agents page: Use tag:value style syntax to easily find the agents you want to manage.
Auto registration of remote agents: You can now auto approve remote agents without having to enable them through the agents dashboard.

Enhancements

Personalize the Pipelines Dashboard: This is now a user preference in Go.
The online documentation now has search so you can quickly get help.
Get the list of scheduled jobs using API.
Configure site urls using the server configuration UI.
Users will get a warning if the Go license is about to expire

Bugs fixed

GO_P4_CLIENT environment variable had different behaviour when destination directory is set for perforce materials.

Announcing Go 2.3.1

The Go 2.3.1 release has a few bug fixes. Download now.

Pipeline group admin could not edit material and user permissions for a pipeline group.
Trying to clone a pipeline that is referencing itself as a material for a fetch artifacts task fails
Files within the agent working directory would be locked on windows when clean working directory is set for the stage.

We recommend upgrading to Go 2.3.1. We'd like to thank everyone on this Community forum for your participation.

Some of the key features of this release include:

Visualize build duration over time: Visualize trends in your build's duration with a brand new graphical chart
Trace a pipeline instance back to its configuration: Go now maintains a history of all changes made to its configuration allowing you to audit all configuration changes. You can view the Go configuration for each run in the Config tab for a stage.
Artifact integrity verification: Go verifies every file retrieved from its repository to ensure it hasn't been tampered with.
Job history on an agent: You can view the history of all the work done by an agent. Analyze problems in your execution environment to identify flaky jobs on particular agents.
3 Step Pipeline Wizard: Use the new pipeline wizard to create a pipeline is 3 easy steps.
Clone a pipeline: Use the admin UI to clone an existing pipeline.
Job Timeout: Non-responsive jobs are now detected by Go and can be configured to automatically cancel after a timeout period.
Auto purge old artifacts: Configure Go to manage server disk space by automatically purging old artifacts.

We’ve also made the following enhancements:

Perforce users can now make use of the GO_P4_CLIENT environment variable which indicates the name of the perforce client.
Configure and manage custom tabs for your jobs using the admin UI.
You can now browse the history to select a pipeline on the Pipeline Compare screen.
The Stages XML feed now includes additional details on the material check-in that triggered the pipeline and information on related mingle cards.
Usernames and roles are case insensitive. Existing roles or usernames which have multiple entries that differ only in case will be replaced by a single instance.

The Go team is excited to announce the launch of the Go 2.3 early access program. This program allows our community of users to try out features in Go 2.3 before it is officially released.

Each EA build comes with its own license (be sure to download it along with the installers). The license entitles you to all Go features (including Enterprise features). Download the EA build.

We'd love to hear from you as we roll out each EA build. We'll be actively responding to questions and comments via this forum. So please, try it out and give us your feedback.

New in this release:

The Go team is excited to announce the release of Go 2.2, ThoughtWorks Studios' Agile Release Management platform. Download now.

Some of the key features of this release include:

Pipeline Compare: Go now gives you the ability to select any two pipeline instances and see exactly what changed between the two builds. The comparison will display a list of check-ins grouped by material. If you use Mingle 3.3 (or greater) to manage your project, you can associate a Mingle project to a pipeline to see a list of cards that were worked on in the compare range.
Pipeline Administration: A brand new UI for administering pipelines which eliminates the need to configure via XML. You can now add and modify pipelines, stages, jobs and tasks using wizards.
Password Encryption: All passwords stored in Go's configuration file are now encrypted for increased security
Version Controlled Configuration: Go now maintains a history of all changes made to its configuration allowing you to audit all configuration changes.
Job Re-runs: Go now allows you to re-run specific jobs like it was possible to re-run stages. Job re-run gets you to the same state with lower agent utilization and potentially sooner.

We’ve also made the following enhancements:

Go Community no longer requires a license key. Download it here
Grant and remove administrative privilege for users from the "User Summary" screen.
The "Trigger with Options" popup now lets you search by a material pipeline's label.
Re-order stages and tasks through the UI.

Go 2.2 Third Early Access Build Released

ThoughtWorks Studios announces the release of the Third Go 2.2 Early Access build. Be sure to use the license key provided on the download page to get full access to enterprise features.

This build contains all the features the Go 2.2 final build will have. These include:

A Graphical Management Console that lets you configure Go without learning it's XML schema.
A brand new Build Compare tool shows you exactly what changed between any two builds or deployments. If you are a Mingle 3.3 user, this tool also lets you see all the cards that were worked on between any two builds.
Password Encryption ensures greater security to credentials stored within Go's configuration files.
All changes to Go's Configuration is Version Controlled. This lets you audit who made the changes and when they were made. In a future release, it will also support configuration rollbacks.
Go Community can run without a License. This allows new users to easily download and start using the product without having to request for a license.

NOTE: As with all EA builds, we do not support nor recommend their use in production environments.

ThoughtWorks Studios announces the release of the Go 2.2 second EA build. As always, an EA enterprise license is also available on the download page so that you can try out Go's full feature set.

New Features

Enhancements to the Pipeline Compare screen (introduced in the last EA release)
- Easy access to the compare feature from the Pipeline Dashboard, Environments Dashboard, and Stage Details screens.
- Pipeline instances are now searchable by checkin comment, committer, counter and label.
- Previously, results displayed were restricted to changes to the pipeline's immediate parents. Now, the results include changes to all ancestors of the pipeline.
All changes to the configuration are now version controlled. Refer to the bundled documentation to see how you can programmatically fetch any historic version of the configuration file.
Better proxy support. You can now configure the Go server's "base URL" so that it is proxy friendly.

Enhancements and major bug fixes

Performance improvements to the scheduler.
Security fixes to subversion materials.

Administration Interface

Currently, a substantial portion of Go's configuration needs to be administered via XML. We've been hard at work implementing a better user interface for administering Go. While this feature is still hidden, you can use the following URL to get a sneak peek into what this is going to look like.

Please keep in mind that the UI is still under development. Some portions may not be complete and there may be some issues with styling. But please feel free to send us your feedback on these screens regardless.

Go 2.1 Service Release 1

ThoughtWorks Studios announces the release of the Go 2.1 Service Release 1 (Go 2.1.3 build 11953). This release contains important updates to the Go server. We recommend that all customers upgrade to this latest release.

This release contains two key updates:

Security fix which addresses a vulnerability that could cause subversion credentials to be displayed during certain error conditions.
Various performance enhancements which address Go server sluggishness for installations with a large number of pipeline material dependencies.

Please follow the upgrade procedure outlined in the Go documentation to install this service release.
